Doilies Butterfly Kid Crafts

These butterflies are cute and easy to make.  Wait and see where they land at your house.

This project is rated Easy  to do.

What you need

• 4" Paper Doilies
• Wooden Spoon
• White craft glue
• Chenille Pipe Cleaners
• Jewels
• Black Paint
• Eyes

What you do

1. Paint wooden spoon black.
2. Glue eyes.
3. Cut wing shapes out of the paper doilies.  Try to use as much of the detailed edging as possible.
4. Glue wings to the unpainted side of the butterfly body.
5. Add Jewels to the wings to decorate.
6. Glue chenille pipe cleaner to the back of the butterfly body for antennae
7.  Your butterfly will be at home on any of your house plants.

 Hints:

1. The upper wings of the butterfly are just heart shapes.
2. We wrapped the chenille pipe cleaner around a pencil to make the curl of the antennae.
