Yankee Doodle Hat Kids Craft

This is a fun Crafty Noodle Yankee Doodle Hat.  Trying saying that 3 times fast!

What you need

• Newspaper
• Ribbon
• White feather
• Scotch Tape

What you do

1. Take a section of your newspaper including the fold(our section was 10-12 pages).
2. Trim down the section until it measures 12"X 18".
3. Fold one side to the middle line.
4. Fold the other side to the middle line.
5. Tape to secure.
6. Wrap half of the paper sheets to the front (we folded twice with each fold about an inch).
7. Wrap half of the paper sheets to the back of the hat.
8. Tape each of the rolled ends for support.
9. Make a small bow out of red, white, and blue ribbon.
10. Glue a feather to the hat.
11. Glue the bow near the base of the feather.
12. Now you are ready to go to town and ride a pony.
