What you need
- Blue construction paper
- Red Feathers
- White feathers
- Silver Star Stickers
- Orange Construction Paper
- Orange Chenille Sticks or pipe cleaners
- Toothpick
- Star shape sticker or cut out
- Google Eyes
- Low temp glue gun
What to do:
1) Trace your child's foot on a blue piece of construction paper. The head will be the head of the eagle. The toes will simulate feathers of the lower body. The outside foot is the belly of the eagle.
2) Glue red and white feathers to make a wing ( top of body).
3) Cut a small piece of blue construction paper and add to the top of the feathers to delineate the wing outline.
4) Glue a few red and white feathers to the back of the body. Use a small piece of construction paper to delineate the rear wing (the wing holding the star).
5) Glue two pieces of orange chenille to the back of the body.
6) Cut out and glue a beak shape out of orange construction paper.
7) Glue a google eye to the face.
8) Place a patriotic sticker to the end of a toothpick. Glue to the toothpick to the back of the rear wing.
9) Stick a few star shaped stickers onto the main body.
10) Enjoy your Independence Day.
