This project is rated Easy to do.
What you need
- Wooden Spoon
- Pink Chenille Stick
- Google Eye
- Brown Felt
- Black Eyelash Trim
- Brown Acrylic Paint
- Decorative paper
- Toilet paper roll
- Poster Board
- Photo of a horse rider
- Low temp Glue Gun
What to do:
1) Paint a wooden spoon brown.
2) Face the back of the spoon towards you (this will be the front of the project.)
3) Glue a short piece of black eyelash trim along the top and down to the handle of the spoon. This will be the horse's mane.
4) Cut two triangular shapes out of brown felt. Place a dab of glue at the base of the triangle and press. This creates a slightly closed ear.
5) Glue ears to the horses head. One in front and one in back at the point just before your trim ends.
6) Glue a google eye on the horse's face.
7) Take a chenille stick and fold in half. Glue to the horses face for the reins.
8) Cut out a bandana shape out of the decorative paper that you have. We were lucky to have Martha Stewart's bandana paper on hand. We got it at Michael's craft store. Glue in place.
9) Take a toilet paper roll and cut into quarters.
10) One of your pieces will become the saddle.
11) Find a rider figure on the web and cut out onto poster board.
