Parrot made from hand and footprints
I am a sucker for art made from tracing my kid's hands and feet. To me if represents a stage in their life.

What you need
- Red Construction Paper
- Yellow Construction Paper
- Google Eyes
- Glue Stick
What to do:
1) Trace your child's hand onto red construction paper and cut out the shapes.
2) Trace your child's foot onto red construction paper and cut out the shape.
3) Trace your child's foot onto yellow construction paper and cut out the shape.
4) Fold the yellow foot shape in half. This will be the bill/beak.
5) Fold the heel part of the red foot( about 1/3 of the way). Then fold again about an inch higher than the first fold.
6) Glue the yellow bill piece to the red fold. This is now the parrot's body.
7) Glue the two handprints to the back of the body to represent the feathers/wings.
8) Glue on google eyes to the face.
Hint:
* Add a small sign dangling from the bill/beak to customize your message such as "Happy Birthday:.
