Patty St. Patrick's Day Kid Craft

We received a package with green packing peanuts and my daughter said let's make a shamrock, so we did.

Age

3 and up

This project is rated Easy to do.

What you need

  • Green Construction paper( two sheets)
  • Green pipe cleaners(chenille sticks)
  • Black Chenille stick
  • Google Eyes
  • Green packing popcorn/peanuts
  • Cool Glue Gun
  • Cardboard


What you do

  1. Take any size card board.
  2. Glue Green construction paper to one side. 
  3. Take a second piece of green paper and also cut to the size of the cardboard but do not glue.
  4. Draw a shamrock shape on the paper and cut it out.
  5. Trim the paper to match the exact size of the cardboard.
  6. Add glue in sections, and add the packing peanuts.
  7.  Glue the green paper with the shamrock cut out in it to the top of the project.
  8. Glue a pair of eyes and mouth.
  9. Outline the shape by gluing chenille in sections.
  10. Display patty.(we put a folded piece of cardboard in back so that the project stands erect.
