Rainy Day Craft Project

Rainy Day Craft Project

This is a great way to turn a rainy day into a whole lot of fun.

Age

3 and up

This project is rated Easy to do.

What you need

  • Old Magazines
  • Craft Paper
  • Foam Paper
  • Markers
  • Craft Glue

What you do

  1. Search magazines for full size photos of children.
  2. Cut out the shape of the children.
  3. Glue to any color craft paper.
  4. Use a circular object to trace and cut out a circle shape from craft foam.
  5. Draw lines on the circular shape to make the umbrella's spokes.
  6. Cut out small "U" shapes at the edges of the circle shape between the spokes.
  7. Glue to craft paper any where that you would like.
  8. Add rain with a magic marker.
  9. Display proudly.

 Hints:

·         Sales flyers make a good alternate choice to old magazines.

·         You can put the umbrella anywhere on the craft paper but we found that covering up some of the child's photo created a more interesting result.
